Lately I've been reading Real Artists Don't Starve by Jeff Goins, getting tips on how to make a living as an artist. He mentions in this book that successful artists don't do it alone, because every artist needs people around them to support them and get their art in galleries, shops, magazines, etc. I don't have a group of artist friends, so my goal is to get to a place where there is a big artist community. But luckily my family has been helping to push my art and show it to people who have bought some pieces, and I must say, though an artist community is a great help for many artists, my best work always happens when I'm alone, in peace and quiet.
